Chatsworth, CA, February 2013 — The January 2013 Aquarium update has finished deployment to all customers worldwide with a current support contract. It includes new content such as “Open Coil (Space Gaining),” which illustrates the use of an open coil to gain space in the dental arch; “Facial Asymmetry Surgery (2-jaw),” which illustrates the process of two-jaw surgery to correct a facial asymmetry as presented in both the upper and lower jaws; and “Bonded RPE (Mixed Dentition),” which illustrates the use of a bonded palatal expander in a mixed dentition patient. Aquarium updates are sent every couple of months through the Internet via DUS (Dolphin Update Service).Â
“Similar to Windows Update, DUS may be configured either to install updates automatically, or to alert you when updates have been delivered and are ready to install,” explains Ken Gladstone, manager of imaging software products. “These regularly scheduled updates mean users have the satisfaction of seeing their investment grow steadily each month.”
Aquarium is a standalone patient education program that uses high-quality 3D graphics to demonstrate common and complex topics including diagnostic findings, orthodontic and oral surgery procedures, appliance use and hygiene.
