March 13, 2013 - In Memoriam Mark Stone (1956 - 2013)
The worldwide Dolphin family is saddened by the passing of our long-time colleague, Mark Stone. A valuable member of the Support Team since 2001, Mark was loved by customers and co-workers alike. Immediately after joining Dolphin, Mark quickly separated himself from the pack and became the go-to person for challenging issues with the Dolphin Imaging product. Mark led by example and was recognized as the Support Team “Top Performer” on multiple occasions, as he often led the team in calls answered, training scores, and customer survey responses.
Mark always had a smile, a cheerful attitude, and witty jokes. He was an avid music, movie, and technology lover. Mark and his wife each purchased one of the first Toyota Priuses (his and hers). Subsequently, he was featured on NPR’s special segment on the automobile, where Mark was interviewed about this then-brand new technology in automobiles—the hybrid! Also, Mark was well informed on the latest personal technology trends, and always sported the newest iPhone and could tell you about all the coolest apps.Â
He composed music in his free time, and kept his beloved Casio keyboard nearby his office to provide live music at any impromptu Dolphin event. His playing was a fixture at our monthly team birthday celebrations, and most recently he prominently starred in Dolphin’s “Harlem Shake – Dolphin version” video.Â
For many years Mark’s wife Linda worked in the area, and would join him for lunch in the Dolphin lunch room each day. The couple attended all Dolphin social events together with their signature matching shirts. We will all miss you, Mark. Rest in peace, our friend.
