Chatsworth, CA, March 2013 — Aquarium customers should be aware of piracy occurring online at sites such as YouTube and Facebook. While legitimate Aquarium users are using the “Export” function in Aquarium to share content with patients (as intended), Internet pirates are re-posting those videos as their own—regardless of the licensed watermark! You can help by notifying us of any suspicious-looking Aquarium videos you come across on YouTube. Factors that may indicate a pirated Aquarium video:Â
• Watermark name has been cropped away or obscured
• Watermark name does not match the YouTube account holder’s name
If you see an Aquarium movie posted on YouTube that you suspect may have been posted by someone other than the actual licensed Aquarium customer, please click the YouTube “Share” button below the movie; copy the displayed, highlighted YouTube link, and drop it in the designated spot on this page. Then click “submit.” We will investigate the link and if the video is determined to be pirated, we will have YouTube take it down.
NOTE TO AQUARIUM CUSTOMERS:
Due to the above mentioned piracy situation, we can no longer allow public posting of our exported videos. We ask that you visit your YouTube channel and under “Video Manager” for each Aquarium video go to “Edit -> Info and Settings,” and change the Privacy settings from “Public” to “Unlisted.” This will allow you to send the links to your patients for viewing, but the pirates will no longer be able to find your videos and steal them from you.
Thank you for helping us and all Aquarium customers!
